I was born and raised in the southern United States where I spent most of my childhood and young adult life outdoors riding horses, kayaking and hiking. After high school I worked my through college majoring in Bible and Theology. Since then I have studied at various academic institutions for specific courses I was interested in, served as an officer in the United States Infantry and worked an assortment of differing jobs all the while holding a seperate teaching job. I love to travel and have spent a large amount of time in Central and South America. Currently I am moving to Edinburgh Scotland to pursue a Ph.D. in Medieval History in order to eventually teach at the collegiate level.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel! Nothing else compares to finding new places and meeting new people. A friend of mine recommended Couchsurfing and I made a profile immediately. Additionally, it will help me explore more of Europe on a budget. I hope to eventually have a place where others can stay with me and we can exchange stories.
