About Me
Meeting people from around the world is my passion. I’ve picked up a few languages along the way and hope to learn some more.
I love brewing beer, working out, reading history and thrillers, and traveling off the beaten path. I’ve been to thirty countries, mostly in Europe and Asia. My favorite places to visit and learn about are in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. I was an expat Central Asia for four years and I’d love to do it again!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting locals while traveling is what makes travel awesome.
Music, Movies, and Books
Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and a lot of history authors. I have a weird fascination with communist history and WW2. Recently I’ve been reading a lot about colonialism.
I listen to a wide range of music from around the world. My favorites are regaeton, Russian rap, Lezginka from the Caucasuses, and Kazakh folk music.
Movies: anything that makes me think or creeps me out. I really love a good psychological thriller.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent four years living in Central Asia where I had the opportunity to build playgrounds for underprivileged kids.
