We are two 30-year-old guys, Chris (blond) and Alex (not so much) on a madcap tour of the world. We're both really chill and low maintenance. We can sleep on floors, beds, or couches, on even in a back yard. Chris will cook you food and try to learn your language.

We met over eleven years ago in college and recently decided, hey, let's go to Asia for an undecided amount of time, travel around on buses, and couch surf! We're doing this old-school, so very little flying, very little luggage, very low-class, but we're excited and ready to kind of play it by ear and take the adventure as it comes.

Chris is transgender (female at birth, "becoming" male), and it is essential that we couchsurf with hosts who are comfortable with that fact, so that we know we are safe and respected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To learn, to hang out, to see the sights, to pet animals, to eat food, to be in the warm weather, to meet you, to make the world smaller.

Interests

We go out a lot. Chris likes dancing and karaoke but Alex does not. We both like live music, pub games, and places where we can relax and eat local food for cheap. We're very interested in exploring the oddities of your city, so show us the strangest, most interesting, and creepiest places to eat/drink, museums, haunted houses, and whatever else you got. We also want to spend time outside in the forest, mountains, beaches. Hikes are good, animals are great. We're trying to do volunteer work as we go, so any non-profit you like/work for/are founding we're interested in

Alex

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I abseiled down waterfalls in the Himalayas. But the hardest thing I ever did was finishing my MA after dropping out for a couple years and convincing the dean to let me back in.

Chris is probably going to bring his banjo, and will teach you about American folk music.

Alex can teach many stupid human tricks and some home repair. Will learn almost anything.

American cooking? It's not as heavy as it sounds, on account of we're both vegetarians. Chris can make apple pie!
