Overview
About Me
I'm 31 years old. I recently quit my job with the Federal Government of Canada to pursue a career in my area of study, applied sport psychology full-time. I did my first major trip in 2011 after graduating, which over the course of 7 months took to a series of countries around the South Pacific.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After graduating I went on a big trip around the South Pacific and heard great things about Couchsurfing, but didn't have a profile put together in order to participate in it myself. During this trip I realized without someone local to explain the cultural differences I could observe the differences, but never really understand the culture in depth.
Ever since that trip in 2011 I meant to join Couchsurfing, but didn't get around to it. I'm heading to Europe shortly and I would like to be able to see the areas outside the big cities from the eyes of the locals, particularly when I'm in Scotland and Ireland.
Interests
I love to learn. I have a huge library of book and audiobooks. I'm always trying to improve my understanding of how the world works. I value staying active and mostly stay fit by playing basketball and yoga. I'd like to incorporate 2 to 4 months of travelling into my schedule each year, but first I need to figure out how to finance that as a self-employed entrepreneur. Over the past little bit I've become quite interested in comedy and am making an effort to check out live comedy on a more regular basis.
