About Me
Growing up in a small town means that your access to the outside world is really limited, so when I found out that my best friends were moving to Colorado I just packed up and went with them. I had no idea what I was doing but, looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. I came back to Montana after six years in Colorado and I love it here more than ever. While in CO, I worked my way into managing a kitchen as I was playing guitar in a few metal bands. Along the way I made some very unlikely friends. Whether I was on stage or yelling in the kitchen, I realized that my capacity for understanding, accepting, and enjoying the differences that each personality and story has to offer is the pivotal point in having such an amazing group of friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing because finding a cheap hostel is great, but your time in a city is only as good as you can make it. Spending time with locals can make simple, lazy days in a hot city seem like perfect fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've been a metal-head for years but I enjoy all kinds of music. From Behemoth to Balmorhea and Heleborous to Zoe Keating. SciFi books like Illium and Olympos by Dan Simmons, and just about anything from Stephen Baxter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Given the short amount of sunlight in the winter, my climbing partner and I will routinely do some mixed ice climbing at night in a nearby canyon. Headlamps and cold temperatures make for an adventure only minutes from home! It's a great way to test out your focus when you can only see a few feet in front of you.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy cooking and climbing and will openly share all the knowledge I have in order to make (or help make) the best food possible!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always offer to help cook anything. I'm also full of really bad jokes. Not "dead baby" bad, but definitely cheesy.
