About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just looking to add a bit of breadth to my life.

ABOUT ME

My husband, 67 & I, 65, live in a condo a couple miles south of the Michigan Stadium. He's in great health & his interests center around peace & justice. I follow suit and am a bit less mobile with arthritic ankles. And I have a crazy sleep schedule but that shouldn't hinder guests.
We have 6 adult children, a couple here in AA and the others scattered across the country and beyond.

PHILOSOPHY

If I can make life better for you I'd sure like to.
There's a reason we don't live in isolation--we're here to serve one another and in so doing we serve God.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a homebody I expect mostly to host but who knows what the future may hold. I've lived in Ann Arbor over 40 years and am pretty familiar with most of what the city has to offer. If I haven't "tried it, done it, got the T-shirt" I probably know someone who has.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted once so far. Two women from New York stayed one night while travelling across country. Great experience. And I must say
I really enjoy my OWN couch!

Interests

I LOVE to read, and I play a few word games on my phone & kindle.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like many genres of movies, books, etc But NOT sci-fi, horror or most fantasy

Never liked animation in TV or movies.
Not big on Special effects either.
Love NPR

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not a great accomplishment on MY part, but, I was within a foot of a ball of lightening when I was 8 years old. There were 7-8 children sleeping in an upstairs dormer-style bedroom when lightening came thru the window. Not one of us was hurt in any way but one brother's pajamas got scorched!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm willing to teach anything I've learned in my 6+ decades. I can cook. I can sew. I can write. I'm pretty handy and willing to take on most any project. Creative problem solving is maybe my greatest asset. I can be considered an authority on almost everything I know. I'm lousy at languages other than my native English.
