About Me
Hi, my name is Chris, I'm on couchsurfing because I find that it's an amazing place to meet new and interesting people!
I have several interests and I'm always happy to meet up and have a great chat over a coffee/drink, lunch or random adventure or for a night out with friends in a new city/town. Spontaneous adventures are always a good idea so I'm normally interested in participating in whatever comes up.
I'm interested in learning from the people I meet and listening to their stories and thoughts. I think it's quite a valuable experience to see how people from around the world view things.
I'm interested in science (of course), history, art, mythology, hiking, different cultures, music, languages, psychology, philosophy and of course traveling.
I studied Evolutionary Biology at the University of Adelaide in my home town in Adelaide and also for a year at the University of Essex in Colchester England
I enjoy hiking, writing, reading, drawing, painting, playing a bit of guitar (tried my hand at piano) and enjoy watching documentaries. I use to skateboard, so if you skate bring your board along.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To learn, explore and see the city I end up in through the eyes of a local. And of course to meet and befriend new and exciting people! I also like to host people and show them my lovely city!

Music, Movies, and Books
If it sounds good, I'll listen, watch and read it.
My interest in music range from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Red Hot Chili Peppers all the way to new music today.
I base what I watch on the story line of the movie so on any given night I could end up watching anything from a drama to a thriller or comedy, I'm always up for a relaxing night in or a good laugh but I also relax with documentaries so those tend to be my go to.
I normally like reading classics and non-fiction books especially popular science but I am always up for more recommendations on more fiction, just finished reading the Human Universe by Brian Cox, currently reading A brief history of everyone who ever lived by Adam Rutherford.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quite the subjective question but something I've done that I at least find "amazing" would be hiking up Mt Olympus and Mt Toubkal and making some great friends along the hike. You can find out the rest in person! 😊
Teach, Learn, Share
I think teaching, learning and sharing what we can is the most important thing of all. Which is why I would like to become a lecturer at one point later on once I'm finally done with all my studies and my goal of seeing every country in the world haha
What I Can Share with Hosts
Travel and adventure stories over a drink or meal with a lot of laughs 😊 making people smile is something I always strive so let's have a laugh :)
