About Me

In July 2024 I will be quitting my job and plan to travel and live and work internationally in areas of sustainability, agriculture, volunteer work, or international development. I have lived, worked and traveled in over 40 countries in South America, Africa, Middle East, Europe and the United States.

I am fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French and proficient in Italian.

I love cultures and music and languages from around the world and look forward to meeting many more interesting people during my travels and new types of work. I am also a football (soccer) fanatique and follow European teams and the World Cup.

I have also studied spirituality with many amazing teachers and shamans from around the world including: Buddhism, Hinduism, shamanism and Sufism. I am interested in all spiritual traditions from indigenous cultures and the ancient cultures of China, Persia, and the Middle East.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel and live and work around the world, my focus is to connect with people and learn about different countries and cultures and history and world music. I am not a typical tourist. I am actually not a tourist at all when I travel. I am much more interested in people and their personal histories and background and stories than I am in in cathedrals and museums!! I also enjoy learning the language and music and literature and culture of every country that I visit and live in.

Because of this, I prefer to meet and connect with people wherever I go. I have done this in many different countries in in the United States and around the world. I am extremely social and extroverted and make friends very easily.

I am a musician trained in classical guitar which I learned while living in Seville, Spain. I also play world music including Brazilian bossa nova and samba, latin music, and music and many songs in French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and other languages. I have also studied Brazilian percussion.
