About Me
Born a day before new years eve, which then immediately caused a storm to hit Germany. Which I'm told I completely slept through.
I study "Communication & Media Management", got an awesome dog & a family I love with all my heart and I don't want to brag, but I'm pretty rad in Guitar Hero
As a kid I've learned that I am the happiest, when I challenge myself. I participated in every sport I could think of and ended up skating for a huge amount of my life which resulted in hospital visitations at least once every month. My doctor asked me to work for him once, because I hung out there anyway. But that's another story. I still appreciate being alive though :)
If you want to make me happy, make me do things, I've never done before. Show me new places, new dishes, make me do things I am afraid of.
You should also know that I don't really care about money. I really have fun to talk to people (at least that's what people tell me who don't like to talk to people). It's just most people seem to be sickened by the thought of Donald Trump's hair, getting coughed on by a hobo or being alone, but what really sickens me, is that all around the world people are doing shit they don't really want to be doing. Like right now, thousands of students are studying a major their parents picked out, learning things they aren't interested in, all in an effort to get a job in a field they aren't passionate about. I believe that people want you in their life because you're outgoing and happy. I talked to so many people who are constantly sad about everything and I just don't wanna be like that.
Also people have told me that I tend to forget things quite often (except for song lyrics). I'm like Peggy Bundy on this. One thought comes in, another has to go. Don't be skeptic when I look at you like a donut.
Also I laugh like a blithering, bubbling school girl when drunk.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people and I just want to give something back.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Atmosphere, Arctic Monkeys, The Doors, Chefket, Fink, Rise Against, Slipknot, Modestep, Beatsteaks, The Beatnuts, Milky Chance, Grieves, Jimi Hendrix, Coldplay, Oasis, Tool, Sublime...I'm basically open for anyone who's got something to say
Movies: I've got quite an obsession with good movies & series; Game of Thrones, La Haine, Into the wild, House of Cards, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Narcos, The Godfather Trilogy, Ein Prophet, Inglourious Basterds & Pulp Fiction, Tarantino, Scorsese, Eastwood and David Fincher movies, Wolf of Wallstreet, Training Day, Silver Linings Playbook & (500) Days of Summer. I love watching stand-ups, especially from Louis C.K., George Carlin, Bill Burr, Robin Williams, Donald Glover... I just like honest people telling honest stories.
Books: I really enjoy biographies of musicians, artists or athletes. Any book with developing characters and comprehensible actions to identify with.
Palahniuk and King are heroes.
Podcasts: Might seem odd, but especially in the last few years I've listened to way too many of them. The Nerdist podcast and "almost daily" are constant companions and seriously, If you've never heard of "Rj and Bley suck at girls", check it out! It's worth it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started travelling through Europe on my own when I turned 16.
I've met so many people who became incredibly important to me and I'm genuinely happy that I had the courage to trade my shyness for the experiences and friends I made.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been working as a bartender in a club in Cologne for about 3 years now and I can absolutely recommend to try it at least once. I gathered a lot of amusing stories and drunk people are amazingly easy to entertain.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey
