Overview
About Me
Eccentric bastard, craft brewer, business owner, rider of wild beasts, lover of all things freckles, and music festival junkie. Collector of hobbies, airline miles, and memories.
Likes: Oxford commas and banjos, duck confit and dive bars, indie music and smiles.
Personal: I once was eating a hotdog, covered in mustard, as it should be, and a good glob dropped on my shorts. It stained. That sucked. I loved those shorts. So I filled a bowl with mustard and smothered my favorite shorts. It stained. But damn it looked cool. Wore them until they wore out. Life has a funny way of working out if you just let it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A few friends I know have done it, and have hosted, and I've had the good fortune to meet some amazing people. Since I travel a fair bit, I figured I'd throw my hat in for the adventure.
Music, Movies, and Books
Been listening to a lot of Frank Turner lately and some really low-fi
Capstan Shafts.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one? I feel cheated!!
This is easy. I've procreated, and my spawn is turning out be a damn fine human being.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've three hard science undergrad degrees and a graduate degree in neuroscience, so I'm reasonably good at those kind of things.
I'm also a head brewer at a 7bbl craft brewery and a serial business owner, so there's that. My precious professional life was in the medical field and then in non profit.
Long and short, I'm good with answering questions if you ask.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I never arrive empty handed, even if it is only something small. Mostly though I hope to share good company and conversations, smiles, and a love of life.
