About Me

I first heard about couchsurfing.com a year ago with a friend on a trip. I didn't realize how nice people could be until I stayed with a total stranger. They were so nice and I thought I will have to do this when I start traveling across the country. I am currently engaged to the love of my life Brittany. I have always thought of an idea like this when I was a child and I couldn't believe my eyes on how famous it has become. I am excited to meet new people and find new things to do across the country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My fiance has had constant pelvic pain for over a year now and has affected her other health problems. We live in Kentucky and we have been to every specialist that they have to offer. We are now going to different hospitals across the country and I have been driving her there and then driving back to continue my job at St. Joe Hospital. These specialist hospitals are very far and require time to stop and relax. I have already learned not to push through the night after totaling a rental car thanks to a deer. This app is great to use so that way if I need to stop on nights instead of trying to sleep at a truck stop on these rides, I'll take it. If I am heading back to Lexington then most likely I will push through, but I would like to meet new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have enjoyed music from the classics of Led Zeppelin to listening to John Williams Composer radio to help me study for school. I listen to new stuff but you have to put a big filter on today's music to find the right kind. I have enjoyed many movies, but mostly Martin Scorcese directed movies. I have been on a big kick with Bollywood Movies for about a year now. The only problem is the closed captions. I have been trying to read some books for many months, but I have been very busy taking care of my fiance. The last one I recently read was the Similrillion. That was probably the hardest book to ever follow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been lost in the woods of Red River Gorge once for 6 days. I was on a normal camping trip and I recently found out that it was getting dark. I tried to get back on the trail but lost sight of the walking trail I originally went on and got lost. I had only 2 days of food and most of my gear was back at my base camp. All I had was a sleeping bag, a map of the gorge, filtered water bottle, 2 food bar fruit rations, duct tape, compass, and a leatherman. I camped at night and stayed still till morning. When I woke up I was trying to find out where I left off and ended in a tall fern forest and completely lost all trail. I fell on day 3 and sprained my ankle. I was stuck there and stayed the night. I formed a splint with the metal bar in my bag and tied it with my shoelaces then duct taped the shoes to my jeans. I finally managed to find a trail and realized I walked over 10 miles off and ended up crossing to mountains. Needless to say, the Park Ranger noticed I didn't check in and had to explain how I got lost. I really thought I was going to die, but I made it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn from new people who would stay with me. I would like to learn new music, and interests. It's always too small of a world when someone has a phone, but this app will let people discover new experiences and I plan on doing the same thing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Chill place and able to relax. Awesome fire pit and very nice house. I worked really hard and did about 29,000 in renovating. We have what we call a SUPERCOUCH!!!!!! This is 2 huge sectionals together, and there is enough space to have three people crash on it. We do have a spare bedroom as well, but currently, we are renovating the room. At least whoever stays here they will get an awesome 52-inch tv to watch with a 6500-watt surround system, with Xbox one, and Nintendo switch. Between the two consoles, I have over 145 games to choose from. We do not smoke in the house but we have a back porch behind the couch going to a deck. We also have a fire pit and you won't have a problem finding it since I encased the stone in UK blue glow powder so the fire pit glows in the dark!!!!
