ABOUT ME
Hey hey,
After a long absence from CS... I am hoping to make a return.
Two years ago I went on a student exchange in Maastricht in The Netherlands. As tacky as it is, of course it was a life changing experience. For the past 2 years I have been toiling away finishing up my BA in psychology. I hope to finish my PhD someday, but in the meantime any more sedentary time at home would have been the end of me. So I have decided to make what was supposed be a summer long trip into a year long trip.
About me, I:
...am 23
...was born in the US, but I've lived my whole life in Canada.
...like to Ski
...have 2 cats back home, and I've always wanted a dog.
....someday I want to live in the country
...like to cook
...have an affinity for flannel
This is my first time in Europe, so I'm trying to get as much out of it as I can.
My top 5 albums:
-Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
-Five Days in July by Blue Rodeo
-Kind of Blue by Miles Davis
-Nirvana:Unplugged in New York by Nirvana
-Sam Cooke Live at the Harlem Square Club by Sam Cooke
My top 5 books:
-The Stand by Stephen King
-The BFG by Roald Dahl
-East of Eden by John Steinbeck
-Enders Game by Orson Scott Card
-The Lord of the Rings
If your interested in staying at my place I have a couch and a carpet floor (I've seen a mattress in my cellar which is yours if you want to try). I don't have much in the way of linens so if you need blankets or towels it would probably be a good call to bring your own.
Maastricht is a really nice town, and I'd definitely be down to show you around and have a drink if you stay at my place. With school and doing weekend trips I'm pretty busy but if I'm around I'm definitely down to host a couple people. My couch would only be good for one person, and figure with the floor more then 2 people staying at my place at a time might be a stretch, but let me know and maybe we'll be able to figure something out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Much to my dismay I have not been able to be active back in Montreal. I am very interested in getting back into it.
Interests
Well to be fair, in my free time I study a lot. Since I got to Europe in April 13' I've ha a pretty wild ride and have a lot of stories since then.
But when I'm not studying, I'm an avid reader , and I always have a book going. Whenever I can I head to my country place in Northern Quebec, so that I can do a bit of hiking and chilling by the lake. I try to keep in shape, but I'm not always so successful. Finally skiing really owns my heart, I hope that someday I might live in the mountains and ski every day.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really try to embrace the beautifully random part of life. I think this bothers a lot of people and we run away from it, but I think it is beautiful. The little inconsequential decisions your make can have such profound reprocussions
