About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Survive internship. Enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 25 year old Brisbane lad who has had many excellent experiences with couchsurfing. I'm an intern at a major Brisbane hospital, enjoy eating out, reading, and seeing live music and comedy, and am not sure what people would like to know... but I am friendly and try to respond to all messages. So, if you'd like to know more, just ask.

PHILOSOPHY

From the little I know about philosophy I'd claim to be libertarian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, showing some couchsurfers around Sydney and enjoyıng the hospıtalıty of others whıle travellıng around Europe and NE North America.

I've just moved into new accomodation and can now host people. So, if you need somewhere to crash in Brisbane I'm keen to start paying back for the great times I've got from CSing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent 2 months travelling around a fair bit of Eastern, Central and Western Europe over the 2008/09 Xmas holidays. I was lucky enough to stay with some very hospitable couchsurfers on that trip. The warmth and local knowledge they provided made my trip much more fun and interesting than it would've been if I'd just been staying in backpacker accomodation (probably filled with other Aussies). Update: I CSed with great people in Montreal and Boston and had an awesome time.

I've also shown a couple of couchsurfers a bit of Sydney. I enjoyed acting as a guide and would be happy to do it again.

Interests

Hanging out with my friends, Radio Lollipop (children's charity), reading (authors below + travel books + current affairs), comedy (live, wrıtten and TV), social sport, sciences, listenıng to music, computer games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience was my adventure around Europe on my Christmas '08 holidays. I had a wonderful time, learnt a lot, and was lucky enough to meet many extraordinary people. Update: Backpacking around NE North America for 4 weeks by myself was also lots of fun, but Europe would still be number 1 for its variety.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share: I know a fair bit about Brisbane and the, somewhat limited, fun stuff to do around town.

I've got some decent dessert recipes.

A list of good local authors.

Time.

I'm interested in other cultures and travel stories, so anyone who'd like to explain what it's like where they're from and share some stories would be more than welcome.
