I (Chris) am an open hearted person who values compassion, authenticity, and cooperation more than anything. I'm actively working on manifesting those things, both as an individual and within a larger sense of community. I spent 3 years as an interactive artist in Brooklyn before moving to Portland to do community organizing work and political activism around racial/economic justice.

Emily is very much the same way. She is always actively looking to make the places she's in better (and the people she meets happier) for her having been there. She's living/working in Cambodia on eco-friendly/zero-waste fashion for the time being, so it'll just be me on this trip.

Interests

I am constantly fascinated by the smallest details of life, but am also enraptured with the bigger questions. I have a regular meditation practice and really enjoy yoga a lot. Right now, I'm immersed in learning about leftist political theory, ethics, buddhism, and psychology/sociology. I'm also practicing brazilian jiu-jitsu and am a long-time climber.

Emily loves designing and making clothes, practicing yoga, writing, singing, dancing, drawing/painting, and discussing philosophy and psychology, among many other things.
