About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn and experience as much as humanly possible

ABOUT ME

I was born in a small town located in Ontario, Canada named Port Perry. Roughly an hour drive from Toronto, Port Perry is in close proximity to Canada's largest city. I grew up on an island ten minutes from the town of Port Perry. I am fluent in English and I am currently attempting to learn Spanish.

As a part-time venture, I offer assistance to patients at the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a student. I conduct research at Trent University and work for the student association as VP of University Affairs.

I am a third year student at Trent University pursuing a BSc in Psychology with a focus on Cognitive Sciences and Perception. I have a passion for life and human behaviour and I travel as much as I can in order to fulfill this fervour. I like to think I am very personable and I love to socialize and meet new people. PHILOSOPHY

"The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything."

We have one minuscule existence on this planet from our understanding of subjective experience; make it count, live your life to the fullest and do not be lazy! It is important to be logical and realistic with an equal balance of creativity with regards to world-views. If you have an opinion on a particular subject I like to see solid reasoning supporting this viewpoint. If you are unable to be scrutinized or attempt to ignore constructive criticism and do not engage in critical thinking, I find this particularly annoying. It is even more crucial to pay attention to the small things, and enjoy life. Overall, the majority of humanity has a disregard for their surroundings and it is important to solidify the imbalance with nature and human existence. We are not separate from all other forms, we are apart of a hierarchy of species. Fortunately, we have the added benefit of rationalization and a superior intellect. It is important to remember we all view the world through individual cognitions, forming an intersubjective perception of objective reality. In other words, reality is a construction of the mind, we need to appreciate it this as a species and realize physical phenomena is transduced into mental representations.
