About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To work freelance, see the world, and develop as a martial artist and traceur.
ABOUT ME
I spent a long time behind a desk, and probably would be there (decaying) still, unless I'd stumbled upon parkour, which I've been doing for 5 years. That has taught me how to have fun just by moving, with nothing needed but the body and good friends. I have also been involved in martial arts for 15 years or so, and I'm starting to focus on muay thai more seriously.
I am not a party animal, but I'm up for a pint or two as long as it involves some sleep too. I'm minimalist when it comes to possessions, but I'll miss my guitars a lot when I start travelling.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy has evolved full-turn from one of career success above all else, to one of making the most of the short life we have. I'm hoping that travel may give me the insight I need to work out where I'm headed. Until then, I just want to enjoy the journey!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently in a period of transition, but in Jan 2015 I'm moving to Phuket, Thailand, and will probably have a couch available there. Or bed, as I always sleep on the floor anyway.
Sorry I didn't reply to anyone yet. Once I'm settled in Thailand I should be in a better position to do this. I've been working several jobs and haven't had time to think.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing yet! I'm thinking more about living in different places than travelling through them though, so I'm not sure whether I'll be looking for places to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Anything with guns and aliens and explosions.
Books: No time, really.
Music: A very wide range from chillstep to death metal.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had some adventures with parkour. Climbing a crane in France and seeing police cluster below. The very first climb up an abandoned factory where I thought I was about to die at each step of the way. My first front flip between two roofs, a leap of faith, having to absolutely trust my body's reflexes and training. Meeting traceurs and traceuses from all over the world and finding we share so much in common.
I've also had nice travel experiences: A traditional restaurant in Tokyo accessed by crawling through a hole and going barefoot on reed mats; Meeting a bear in the Grand Tetons; Fresh tuna every day in Kaua'i.
