About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world and all of its wonders; to meet people who share my interests and can expose me to new ones

ABOUT ME

My name is Chris. I'm a mellow guy with goals to eventually work in the field of education. I try to find the bright side of all situations and enjoy traveling to see new things, try different foods, and immerse myself in cultures around the world. My family and friends are the most important things to me; they are my social and moral support, and I turn to them whenever I need help. In the same respect, I constantly think about others, putting their concerns ahead of mine; I am someone who will always be there to talk to and will help out whenever/wherever I can. Overall, I like to think that I'm funny, laidback, intelligent, and generally a great guy to be around. Let's be buddies.

PHILOSOPHY

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” -Mahatma Gandhi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am traveling around South America, I am currently only available to surf couches. In the future, I fully plan on hosting surfers in sunny San Diego

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just had my first CouchSurfing experience and it went great! Surfed in Lima, Peru and really got an inside look at the city, the people, and the delicious food. Saw places and things topping the list of tourist attractions (rightfully so), but more importantly, I saw other things that I couldn't have seen without our gracious host. Very excited for the next surf!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In April 2012, I visited Perito Moreno in El Calafate. My friend and I took the "Big Ice" trek on top of the glacier then traveled to El Chalten to camp close to Mount Fitz Roy. During the night, a snowstorm came in and shook the tent around. Great experience!
