About Me

I just graduated from the University of Groningen (Netherlands) with a BA degree in European Languages and Cultures. I've traveled to and worked in and around Europe, the States and Hong Kong. In Sweden, France and Michigan I worked on farms through WWOOF, which have made me aspire to erect/move to a self-sustainable community and becoming a permaculturist one day.

Currently I'm traveling around Europe with my brother and sister and looking to meet cool new people to have fun with and learn from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in Budapest, Stockholm, Berlin, Antwerp and Luxembourg, which were all great experiences. Whenever I stay in one city for a while (Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Traverse City, MI) I usually try to get involved in the CS community because it's a great way to get to know all the different faces of a city!

Interests

I love a great diversity of things, like music, listening to it, and making it (though I'm no good at it), I love movies, especially ones with dissatisfying endings, I love literature in all its forms, actually I love language and its effects on people and the world, it's one of the most interesting phenomena us humans have produced. I also love to occasionally waste a day cooking and eating with friends. I love traveling cause I thoroughly believe that through knowing other cultures and realizing how there are other perspectives all around, the world can be changed. I'm also obsessed with farming and gardening, cows are my favorite animals and I hope to one day become self-sustainable on a little farm in some mountains.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meet up with me and I'll tell you all about my adventures!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm anticipating it'll be mainly learning for me, but I'm an eager student! Teach me anything in the fields of language, philosophy, culture, cuisine, farming, saving money, music, or enjoying life and I'm your friend. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an ok cook I believe, and I know a fair deal about language and some history stuff if you're interested. I'm also a fanatic gardener, so if you need any help with your rooftop plot I'm your guy! ;)
