About Me

I am currently a whitewater rafting guide on the South Fork of the American River. I facilitate a ropes course and teach outdoor education to elementary and middle school students. This job is seasonal and I will be traveling in October to Berlin and Amsterdam, for 9 days, before heading to Italy for a month. Finally ending the trip in Madrid and Barcelona in early December. I cannot wait to meet people, share lots of stories and games, learn about new cultures and places, and have a blast.

Lets smile, laugh, have fun and enjoy this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here to surf couches and let people stay on my couch. I have used couch surfing to explore the North Pacific on a hitchhiking expedition up to Seattle. That experience and stories from friends has created the desire to explore using couchsurfing as a resource to meet people and see more of a place. I hope to be living in Lake Tahoe next year on the return of my journey. I want to invite couch surfers to my home. I hope to meet and stay with awesome people in Europe this Fall.

Interests

I am a whitewater rafting guide on the South Fork of the American River. I enjoy climbing, backpacking, cliff jumping, slacklining, table tennis, fusball, reading and my new hobby, running. I have developed a love for cooking over the past few years, hoping to learn more culinary skills. I am vegetarian when traveling and vegan while home. Traveling has always been a highlight of my dreams. I want to explore and see the amazing things other people get to see daily. If you would teach me or share an interest with me I know I would be ready to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to laugh and am pretty easily entertained. I have been on a book rampage. I keep checking out books and obtaining used books. I am trying to reread high school literature and learn new skills through reading. Music is a wonderful creation. It motivates me to do more with my life. I enjoy concerts and festivals. If anyone is in the San Francisco area the first week of October you should check out Hardly Strictly Blue Grass Festival...it is Free and amazing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After my first year of college, three friends and I, set off on a bike tour from Santa Cruz to San Clemente. A 500 mile journey we planned to do in 9 days. We rode our bikes down Highway 1 through Big Sur. We carried all our gear on our bikes and slept along the coast near the beach every night. The scenery down the 1 was astonishing from a bikers perspective. We had the wind blowing in our faces, sun shining on our skin, and laughter filling our nights. This adventure is one everybody should try to experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share what I know and learn what other people want to share with me. I am constantly trying to teach and listen to other people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share laughter, stories, smiles, a good time, an adventure, games, hobbies, a couple jokes, and happiness. There is so much to learn and I am excited to share experiences with you.
