About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do it all!

ABOUT ME

I am the smartest person in the world! Just kidding. I am extremely compassionate and open minded. There is nothing I won't try at least once. I love meeting new people, hearing new ideas and going new places. I like to be outgoing, but I can be introverted as well. I am a good listener, but I get distracted easily. I love being active, but I also equally appreciate just relaxing. I like to work hard and play hard. I like to be sarcastic and not take most things too seriously. I also like funny stuff. I don't like to go with the flow, rather carve my own path.

PHILOSOPHY

Live every moment, love every moment, do what feels right, don't be too stupid.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Any way I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No surfing yet, but I can't wait.

Interests

I like to spend my time underwater basket weaving. Not really. I really like to be outdoors, a lot. I try to read as much as possible and spend as little time as possible on facebook. I like to hike of course. I enjoy kayaking, photography, non-US media (except NPR), primitive living skills, thinking outside the box, trying to solve our world's problems, snorkeling, golden eagles, sleeping outside, permaculture, making things, wild animal watching, plants, eating, listening to music and writing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like the movie Adaptation. I like movies that have thought and meaning in them, but sometimes I am lazy and watch stupid movies. I appreciate all music. I try to read books that teach me something important.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I almost had a gray whale land on our boat when it breached. I fought off a wildfire and saved my parents house. I made my own bow by hand. I have swung from a helicopter into a golden eagle nest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know lots about outdoor stuff, plant and animal natural history and ecology. I am fairly knowledgeable in primitive living skills and permaculture/biodynamics. I like aboriginal studies. I have a pretty good understanding of the basic liberal arts. I know how to successfully run a non-profit organization. I am good at fixing things/situations and adapting with what is available. I would like to think I am well versed in the scientific method. I want to learn anything.
