ABOUT ME

My name is Christopher and I have lived in Vancouver, Canada for a few years now. I would like to leave my couch open to the odd traveller here and there, and hopefully there is a couch there for me when I need it as well.

Some people have called me a serious, contemplative or passionate person, but I was often too busy laughing to hear what they were saying.

I will happily wax philosophical, political, high art and culture, LOW art and culture (perhaps my favorite), or even biblical with a desiring cohort.

You can find me listening to anything from Rudimentary Peni, Deep Wound and Black Flag to Philip Glass, Sigur Ross, the Pop classics, and even.... hip-hop... MF Doom anyone?

My home in Vancouver is located in the pleasant neighborhood of Strathcona just a couple minutes from the trains, Chinatown and the Downtown core.

Come burn one (or abstain) and throw some rocks on the Sea Shore!

PHILOSOPHY

Anarchist Philosophy;

...Before less-informed judgments are made, let me state that you and I can only wish we were as disciplined, stoic, reasonable, and compassionate as some of the dedicated anarchist thinkers of our time. I believe the term anarchist should spark associations of voluntary virtue in a vacuum of authority rather than voluntary theft and vandalism. To have what it takes to defy the contemporary status quo is to be virtuous.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to couch surfing. I intend to leave my couch open to some travellers, especially through summer and fall, and hopefully next year sometime there will be some couches for myself and my lovely lady during our travels!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have modest amount of couchsurfing experience, but after hosting and being hosted by a handful of people my experience has all been positive. Every member of the CS community that I have met has been a pleasure to be around and I can't wait to get to know more people and places!

Genuineness. Many may out-sell me, but in the case of this quality I am difficult to beat. I am also good at teaching rudimentary musical, economic and political theory.
