ABOUT ME
For anyone who is reading this; My name is Chris, I'm 20 years of age and I'm from Leiden in the Netherlands. After high-school I went to university to study Criminology, when I quit that I started Social Work at college but quickly came to the conclusion that I'm not ready to study yet. I want to travel. I hope to finally be able to start using my couchsurfing account and meet lots of new people in the proces.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a convinced Atheist but I have no problem with religion. Believe what you want to believe. You know what is right for you. I'm always open to hear what other people think.
Before I settle down and start studying and working again I want to have a sense of freedom by living out of one backpack. I want to live day by day not knowing where I will be a few days from now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I also use couchsurfing when hitchhiking to find accommodation and meet people on the road.
When I lived in Vienna I was able to host but since I don't have a permanent adress at the moment I can't host people. I also try to go to couchsurf meetings as often as possible everywhere I go
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing gave me places to sleep in Italy, Slovenia and Germany but for the most part it made me meet a lot of new friends everywhere through Europe
Interests
Traveling, (live)music, hanging out with friends, hiking and strength-training. Also I enjoy reading about history.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to everything from country to reggae, from rock to heavy metal and hardcore.
Some examples: from Lucero, Johnny Cash, Chuck Ragan, Tim Barry to Lamb of God, Machine Head, In Flames, Sick of it All, HateBreed, etc.
Movies: I mostly watch fantasy movies and action movies.
I'm not a reading type of person, I prefer listening to music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have seen are probably the Graspop Metal Meeting festival in Belgium and Zwarte Cross festival in the Netherlands.
A good festival weekend feels like you've been away from everything for months. You meet so many amazing people while surrounded in 24/7 partying. Good times
