ABOUT ME

Well, HEY! We are Chris and Christina, two students from London.

I (christina) am a writer, I'm taking a writing class in Boston right now, and I'm looking for some fun people/encounters to write about. So, if we meet and I happen to blow up over night, you could be famous. Just sayin'.

Chris is working in a summer camp for homeless and foster kids near NYC- he's a big ol' charitable humanitarian- and is looking for some nice chats and laughs.

The thing that unites us is that we are both looking for lots of fun on our travels, hopefully with some lovely new people we meet through couchsurfing!

We are both very laid-back, but we're looking for an experience we'll never forget from our time in the US, why not be a part of it? Go on!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We're newbies, but hoping to get involved both with surfing and hosting. We live in a huge house in London with lots of other fun, like-minded people, and we've been saying for a while that it'd be cool to host travellers. So we're definitely up for hosting once we're back in London in September. Drop us a line! I'll put up pictures of the house when I actually have some.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None through this website- so far our travelling has been in hostels or campsites, but Christina hosted a few travellers when she was living in Paris, but not through couchsurfing.org

Interessen

The music scene in London is amazing, so we spend a lot of time out and about. We also love going to the theatre and comedy nights, restaurants (when we can afford it), cooking and Christina reads like a maniac. I love swapping books with fellow bookworms, it's a great way of finding things you wouldn't normally read- and I always carry far too many books around with me.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Chris - Working with a Kenyan primary school sticks out. As part of team I led lessons, assemblies and provided sports equipment. Hopefully this summer's experience of being a camp counsellor for homeless and foster kids will be great too.

Christina- Lived in Paris for six months and worked as an au pair. Becoming proficient in French was really satisfying and enriching, and meeting people- French or otherwise- the likes of which I would never have met before was great. I hosted a couple of couchsurfers in my tiny annexe which was fun- though I did it through less official means than couchsurfing.org

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Christina speaks French and would be happy to give some pointers or help to anyone looking for them. She has also recently invested in a DSLR camera, and would love to get some tips on how to make the most of it.

Chris is very practical, he's great at making and building things out of the most basic materials- once he made an umbrella made entirely out of duct tape and a couple of rods. He can also juggle, a 'skill' he'd be happy to impart onto others! He is a bit of a musical encyclopaedia, but is always looking to learn about other styles of music.
