ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded person who strongly believes there are more good people on this planet than bad ones. I'm married (17 years and counting), we have a 16-year old daughter who has a cat, I guess you could call us a pretty normal and functional family. My wife Carine owns and manages a fashion boutique for ladies, I work for an Indian airline (Jet Airways), and Eveline - that's our daughter - obviously still attends school. The cat mostly sleeps.

PHILOSOPHY

Be open and honest at all times. I'm old enough now to know that life is easier if you don't have to look for pretexts and excuses. Own up to your mistakes and be upfront about them, you'll find that most people are very understanding, and often forgiving too...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To be open to everyone and anyone to come to our place and get acquainted. To go out and meet other people and find out there's more that unites us than there's things to divide us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No experience whatsoever yet ! Just joined today that's 6th October 2009 ! I hope to be able to update this very soon !

兴趣

Golf, body pump (Les Mills training), music, books, biking, travel, be lazy and do nothing sometimes (I can recommend that !), internet and websites, art, cooking... definitely NOT the garden !

Books : sci-fi and fantasy, and personal and business-development too.
Music : very old-fashioned, to the chagrin of my daughter. Very much into Motown and the like, even further back than that. Mills Brothers, anyone ? Or Sam Cooke ?
Movies : nothing to do with doctors and nurses, aaaarggghhhh !!!!!! Give me a Gollem and a few Goblins in a spacesuit any day, thank you !

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Quite recently (July 2009) I went to India to witness a solar eclipse, and ended up in Patna, Bihar. 60000 people gathered there to experience the event, lots of them illiterate farmers from surrounding villages lost in time. The athmosphere on that trip was beyond belief.
There's other things too but I need to think about that a bit.

Where to start ? The world is so full of weird and wonderful knowledge, I believe the best way to share is talk to each other and see where that conversation takes you. Along the way and without knowing it, everybody will learn something somehow.
