To travel the world, experience new things, meet new people. To share my love of art, music, and dancing with people from all over the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist, musician, and dancer. I've been doing all three almost my entire life. I want to travel the world and find more inspiration for my paintings, documenting my experiences in my artwork. I have a website of all my artwork, www.christopherclark.com, if you're curious.

I also play guitar and sing, and I love making music with people. It's something you can share with anyone all over the world, and it's very magical when it happens.

I also love Lindy Hop, and would love to attend some of the great Lindy Hop dance events around the world that I always hear about.

I can't wait to start my adventure in traveling and meeting wonderful people to share experiences with.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe every person has the right to believe what makes them happy, as long as they're not hurting anyone else. I think every religion is right in its own way. I think they all point to the same concept, that we're on earth to love and take care of each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Italy, Milan specifically. I met my wonderful host and new friend Lorenza and her two kids. Throughout my summer in Italy I stayed with her and traveled with her a number of times. It was such a great experience, and I never would have seen the nooks and crannies of Italy without couchsurfing with someone local like Lorenza. Next time I go back to Italy, I will definitely stay with her again.

I also WWOOFed at three different farms in Italy. I know that's not couchsurfing, but I still stayed at people's places while traveling, so I guess it was worth mentioning. Oh yeah, I loved every minute of it! (except the farm that made me do dishes for 2 hours each night until like 11:00pm, that wasn't exactly fun)

Interests

I love being social with people, eating delicious food, watching sunsets in interesting cities, reading classic literature, and singing along to every song that I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classic literature. I've read a bunch of Dickens, Robert Louis Stephenson, etc. I like reading books that I was supposed to read in high school, skipped at the time, but am now mature enough to actually appreciate. I also loved the LOTR and Harry Potter series, and I think the movies for these are equally fantastic, and I've seen them all more times than I can count.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked the trail of Cinque Terre in Italy. I've done it several times, and it's completely stunning every time.

I attended a catholic mass in Cologne, Germany with 1.6 million people, presided over by the Pope. I'm not religious, but that was still a pretty incredible experience.

I went to Tunisia in Africa for a friend's wedding. Well, he never picked me up at the airport and I had no way of getting a hold of him. So I was on my own in Tunisia for 5 days, and I made it work! Made a friend at the airport, got a nice hotel near the coast, and just explored the towns the whole time. That trip really tested me, and I had such a wonderful time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm obsessed with:
Art (painting, drawing, etc)
Music (i play guitar and sing)
Dancing (specifically swing dancing or Lindy Hop)

I would love to share any of these art forms with anyone. I'm a professional artist, and I teach art and oil painting. So I'm always up for sharing what I can about painting with anyone who wants to learn. And if you're an artist too, I would love to see your work and learn from you as well.

I've also taught music lessons before, and again I'm always learning here too. I'm not a pro at all, I just love music so much. I brings people together in such a magical way. Some of the best experiences of my life have happened because I play music.
