ABOUT ME

We're an international (Austrian-Canadian) couple who met in Canada but now live in Austria. We spent six months in Japan from March-August 2012 and loved it! We now live in Graz with our three-year-old son in a "klein aber fein" apartment with a small backyard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've both surfed and hosted. We love meeting new people and hearing about other cultures and countries, as well as other people's life experiences. We've learned so much just by the opportunities to talk to and share meals and stories with other human beings. We couch surfed at a few people's places while doing a bicycle trip in Canada and had a great time doing so. We also surfed at a few people's places in Japan and met some very kind people that way, as well as hosting a few too. Now we're back in Graz and trying to host people whenever we can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've surfed and hosted a few times and it's always interesting to meet new people and hear about their lives. On our bike trip, though, we often just asked people if we could tent in their backyards...the generosity of complete strangers was simply amazing!

Interests

We're both very musical. Leanne plays piano/sings and Chris plays piano/guitar/accordian/sings/. If you bring an instrument with you, EVEN BETTER! We also like biking and playing badminton.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Our 75-day bicycle tour of eastern Canada was amazing. Japan was also an experience we'll never forget.
