About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel Central America learning cooperative living and (perma)culture.

ABOUT ME

Hi! We're Chris and Nina. We've been together for 4 years and last year we headed out on our first major world travel together. We made our way south from Cancun to Panama City from where we flew to Miami, Florida and from there on back to Chris' home in Oregon. Chris is a carpenter and aspiring permaculturist from the beautiful Pacific North-West US. Nina's studying social science with a focus on environmental sociology and climate politics in Copenhagen, Denmark where she lives in a rad collective. We're both curious and open folks, explorers and friends. Lookin' forward to meeting you!

PHILOSOPHY

We're searching for a good way to be in the world, a way that will let us and our children live on this earth for a long time. So far we think we know this includes: Being compassionate and helpful, respecting the earth as if it was our own body, and telling the truth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

INCREDIBLE wonders of Central America, too many to mention, but including amazing coral reefs, grand ruins that took our breath away, playing castaways on paradise island...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching: Though we are by no means experts, we like to talk about, do and teach: Farming, carpentry, cooking, card games, finger whistling, coconut cooking, spear making, astronomy, surfing etc. Basically we know a little bit about a lot of things and love trading knowledge with other people. Learning: We'd like to learn more about permaculture and cooperative living and whatever cool stuff you know. We want to learn more Spanish and other languages. Nina is on a quest to learn how people eat in the world and how to cook it.
