ABOUT ME

We often laugh. We love to eat good food and bask in nature. We love to discuss words and their meanings, contexts, and etymologies. We enjoy the differences of cultures and the simplicity of small kindnesses. We are artists who see beauty in all things, even the really ugly things. And we try very hard to remember our dreams, though often they come out in mere pictures, not video. And we like some of the more decadent things in life, like smoking, the occasional drink, and eating lots of chocolate.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

What is ours is open to you - our material goods, our experiences, our outlooks. We give unquestioningly as this is the kindness paid to us, and we are merely returning the gesture. We serve as ambassadors to our worlds whether we host or surf; the pay comes in the conversation and the wealth of new-found friends, encounters, and ideas, as well as the affirmation of the old ones.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Anya hosted a lot, but never through her own account. She was always the roommate of an official CouchSurfer. Both of us have couchsurfed many times without the use of this project.

Layer up! Even on hot summer days, bring a layer for the nighttime as the temp will usually drop or rain will come. Think tank-top, sweater, scarf combination.
