About Me
ABOUT ME
I worked for 5 years in the chemical industry in Houston, TX. I recently resigned from my job to travel and determine if engineering is in fact what I want to continue as my career. Over the next year or so, I plan to visit places within the United Sates as well as South America, Asia, and Africa. As a person who thrives when things are well organized (enginerd), I'm taking a leap of faith by putting myself into the 'uncomfortable' yet exciting situation of unemployment!
Even before this recent step away from industry, I tended to travel efficiently...hostels/friends as often as possible. I went this route because it gave me a chance to meet people from all over with the commonality of travel.
PHILOSOPHY
If it doesn't feel right, try something different. This is how / why I made my decision to travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As part of my upcoming travels, I would like to see the cities I visit from a local's perspective and get an idea of what the local vibe is like. Full immersion.
Interests
Although I am not musically inclined nor do I play any instruments, I do find an interest in music. I travel often for concerts and music festivals! I've taken quite an interest in synthpop recently.
I like to spend as much time as possible outside: road cycling, bicycle touring, rock climbing, backpacking.
