ABOUT ME

I'm 23 years old and am just finishing University and I will be moving to Chicago for work. I've lived in the middle of America my whole life but have been lucky enough to travel a decent amount. I find it great to have the middle of America perspective and the cultural experiences I've had while travelling. It helps me relate my world experiences to people in America who don't get to travel.

PHILOSOPHY

There is a lot of people I know in the middle of America that do not step out of their comfort zone and live stagnant in the same place without different perspectives. My philosophy has always been that someone is not living a full life if they do not step out of their comfort zone. You get so much more out of life if you're willing to feel excitement about having to adapt to new situations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm fairly new to couchsurfing so currently I am mostly only surfing and do not have the ability to host often. But if anyone were to find themselves in Kansas I'd do my best to find a way to give them a place! I am sure once I move to Chicago I will be able to accommodate more people for surfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm fairly new to couchsurfing. My interest in this stems from meeting new interesting people. I've had a few experiences both surfing and hosting and am looking to do more.

Interests

I love doing outdoor activities. Hiking, sports, and anything outside is great. Love to interact with new people and see different perspectives on all things in life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Very cliche, but I like a variety of music. If I were to choose a main style though it would be ska punk, reggae, relaxed rap, rock, and indie. Sometimes all combined into one. Examples would be: Dispatch, Sublime, Dirty Heads, State Radio, John Butler Trio, Matisyahu, Shwayze, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rebelution, and Slightly Stoopid among others. I listen to a lot of different music though so not just that style.

My favorite book is Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. The movie is pretty well done also!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides being able to travel so much one unique experience I have is working on oil rigs in America in the state of North Dakota. It was an interesting experience that no one I know my age has done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Off the top of my head I do not have a specific talent I can think of to teach. I've been lucky to meet a lot of different and interesting people in this world though so hopefully I have at the very least interesting stories to share.
