About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spend more time surfing

ABOUT ME

Born in Pompano Beach, Florida, raised in Tampa, Florida and most recently residing in St Petersburg, Florida, the Sunshine State has been my home for almost 3 decades. With such a uniquely diverse and stunning array of flora and fauna and perpetual sunshine it is hard not to be captivated by such a naturally beautiful state. Recently, I've been working in St. Pete as a marine fisheries biologist and on a variety of ocean going boats but my girlfriend and I are taking a break from work for now. After a few long trips to Europe, Northern Africa, California and Central America to surf as much as possible I am now back in Europe for 4 months, traveling for fun and to learn culture (not for surfing) and WWOOFing to learn about sustainable agriculture.

PHILOSOPHY

Contribute much, consume little and keep it real.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ska, funk, jazz, reggae, folk, outlaw country, jam, bluegrass and everything in between so long as its of intelligent design.
I love to read anything interesting but I only seem to find authors at other's suggestion but I like almost anything by Noam Chomsky, Tom Robbins, Hunter Thompson, Jack Kerouac and Earnest Hemingway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Raging East Coast hurricane swell with nobody out.
Massive schools of tailing redfish
Tarpon rolling off the beach at firstlight

Teach, Learn, Share

The most natural and unspoiled areas of Florida are often the hardest to access and observe and I would like to help surfers explore and share some of my limited knowledge on the supreme beauty of Florida's wildlife.
I love to learn about the history and politics of surfer's and host's homelands, stories and advice from their travels, culinary culture and philosophy.
I may ask a lot of questions but I love to hear a new perspective.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good attitude, funny (hopefully) stories and some local knowledge of having fun in Florida.
