ABOUT ME

I'm very laid back, down-to-earth, wild at times, grew up in Florida. I'm smart, funny, weIrd... if you want to know more, you'll just have to meet me! I love people (most anyway) and animals and I also like art. My favorite is oil painting! I absolutely LOVE the beach and anything outdoors. I like meeting new people and traveling to new parts of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because for whatever reason, be it God or some higher power out there, I am still roaming around in this infinite universe. I know that one day I will be reunited with my loved ones who have passed on, but until that day comes, I plan on making the best of every single day and to try and live in the moment, because the moment is all we truly have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurf and I host when I'm home ... my couch is usually open so if you're in the area, hit me up! I also check out the community groups to see what couchsurfing meetups there might be in the area I am in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed and I have met other surfers randomly, and I have hosted. I want to be able to host more couchsurfers because I want to return the favors from when I was hosted!

Interests

I am interested in positive people and those who do not take life for granted. I like art, specifically oil painting, meditation, and I also like to watch movies or read books or PARTY ;) Psychology is my major and I am definitely interested in the reasons we do what we do as a society and as individuals. I want to study those with positive attitudes and figure out why they don't have problems like others. My minor is in French because I think it is a very beautiful language and I would like to become fluent one day. I like travels, people, animals, nature, and anything with positive vibrations!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - Thich Nhat Hanh (Peace is Every Step, Being Peace), Stephen King, Twilight series, Water for Elephants, The Kite Runner, The Hunger Games, and more!

Music - I mostly listen to rock or techno.. a few artists I like in particular are Michael Franti, Green Day, Linkin Park, DJ Icey, DJ Baby Anne, DJ trashy, Bob Marley, The Cat Empire, Tiesto, Moby, Lady GaGa ... the list can go on and on and on...

Movies - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Wizard of Oz, American Beauty - ummmm.. I am terrible at remembering names but I like movies that make me think!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I finally traveled to Europe and Thailand, met amazing people, and now I want to travel more and see the world, even though I know it is impossible to see the entire world in just one lifetime, let alone multiple lifetimes, because everything changes every moment!

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to learn from many people and to also teach them things I know. I have had many trials and tribulations during the course of my life and with that I have experienced immense pain, and also pure joy! Each of us has many unique life experiences and we can learn from each other and grow as individuals and as people. I want to learn from whoever is out there to teach and vice versa! Variety is the spice of life! :P
