About Me
I'm a funny guy with the dream of becoming a professional funny guy. I've worked as a comedic improviser with Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton since 2011, but as you would imagine, making up stories on stage with your friends isn't the best way to pay bills. So instead I've decided to eliminate my bills, and hit the road. I began performing as a stand-up comic two years ago and have performed all over western Canada, but would like to increase that range to all of North America. I'm a tidy and polite adventurer (as the Canadian government requires us to be), and am also a great cook. Let me feed and entertain you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on adventure. I graduated from the University of Alberta this year with a teaching degree and found out through my student-teaching practicum that teaching is absolutely not for me, and thus I decided the only logical next step would be to go on an adventure. An adventure with a purpose mind you, my goal is to perform stand-up comedy in as many cities as possible before I return home in December. I love meeting new people, and figured what's a better way to meet someone than crashing on their couch for a night?

Music, Movies, and Books
Having been born in '93 Harry Potter was a huge part of my childhood. As it was for many of us, my 11th birthday was void of a Hogwarts letter, and thus was a true heartbreaker.
I'm a big fan of Wes Anderson's and the Coen brother's movies, but my all-time favourite movie would have to be Tommy Wiseau's "The Room".
I really enjoy adult alternative, indie, rock, and reggae, but my heart lies in the hip-hop. I have two guilty pleasures, one being the UFC, and the other being freestyle rap. Lay me down a beat and I'll rap about anything you'd like.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have an education degree focusing in Social Studies, and have also coached several high school improv teams, so I can teach you about Canadian History, or I can teach you improv comedy. Wanna learn the secrets of freestyle rap? Or the fundamentals of puppet improv? I got chu covered.
Also I can show you some of my favourite recipes (ooooooh! Exotic Canadian cuisine).
Maybe in return you can teach me how to Dougie. Teach me. Teach me how to Dougie.
