ABOUT ME

I crave new experiences. I have a keen sense of adventure and love the outdoors and nature. I'm quite physically active, enjoying all sports. I also really enjoy music and play several instruments including the guitar and piano. I consider myself very open minded and love meeting and forming connections with new people.

Tough one. In the interest of having a complete profile I'll say that I haven't yet found a way to summarize my personal philosophy in a single sentence/paragraph.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I've been a member since 2007 I only recently (2011)started getting involved in couch surfing. I think it's an absolutely wonderful concept/social network and am keen to continue participating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Another tough one. There's so many! One that stands out, at least as I'm writing this, is a night I spent by myself sleeping on a cliff in southern India. I realized as night fell that I was in a troop of monkeys' territory and, knowing nothing about monkeys at the time, I had no idea how they'd behave, i.e. if they'd attack. I only had a stick for protection so it was lucky they left me alone. I can't say I got much sleep that night, but the sunrise the next morning might be one of the most welcomed and amazing sights I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be more than happy to give some guitar or piano lessons. While a little more challenging to do, as it would require the equipment and venue, I'm a certified kayak instructor and would love to share my knowledge on that as well.
