About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I am a student of life. I love to learn and try new things. I have way too many hobbies to really be at the level I would want to be at any of them, but I try anyway. I've just discovered my love of travel or independent travel, just to travel. I've always traveled with a group or mission where everything was decided for me. I'm loving "doing it live" right now and making things up on the fly. I am a God believing man and my traveling experiences only fortify this notion. I'm down to meet anyone and everyone- I love making new friends.

PHILOSOPHY

A series of quotes that inspire me/ guide me:

"Replace ambition with grattitude"- Dave Razowsky
"Yes and..." - Stepenwolf Intensive
"That happened..." - Steppenwolf Intensive
"Your job in life is not to be interesting, but to be genuinely interested."
"A clear and innocent conscious fears nothing."- Elizabeth I

Matthew 6:25-34 (in a nutshell- No Worries)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I LOVE COUCHSURFING. I'm so happy this thing was created, because it's like a dream come true for me. Meet new people, see what their life is like- it's great. When you couchsurf in a foreign land or even just a different state, you get to see what that place is like from the eyes of a local. I feel much more immersed when I am with a couchsurfing host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing so far has been very good to me. My first CS experience was in Málaga, Spain where a now good friend, Matias, let me stay in a flat he'd been renting out. It was seriously a gift from God. He took me around his city, fed me breakfast in the morning and took me to his family barbecue on his lemon farm. When I left for a short trip in Scotland, he let me stash my stuff while I traveled and housed me as soon as I got back. I seriously made an amazing friend through this site.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not enough energy/organization of the mind at the moment to list these out...

Anything by Ted Dekker.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to list just one...

SKYDIVING
City Museum in St. Louis
Sleeping in an airport with friends and doritos
sleeping in a treehouse in scotland
Going to europe
Acting Intensive with steppenwolf theatre company
Theatre Dept. @ UCSD

In detail...sleeping in the airport with doritos
So I was stranded in the Prestwick Airport in Scotland, because the whole town had been booked and no restaurants were open. Too cold outside and everything was too far away to just walk around, so we slept in the airport. We didn't really have Scottish money, so we scrounged up what we could and bought some chips from vending machines. It wasn't much but we had an amazing time and I really appreciated everything I actually had in that moment. Especially the two people I got to share that with.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could try teaching...
surfing
guitar
capoeira/parkour/ acrobatic stuff
dance (maybe some hip hop/ breaking/ MJ)
longboarding/ some skateboarding

I'd love to learn...
how to be better at everything I just listed I could teach
