Overview
About Me
Just starting my Cross Country Cycle! Have been on a couple minor tours, which total the west coast of Michigan. Did a 5-day tour up to Traverse City, then biked to Chicago a couple weeks later to officially start the big one. Calling Chicago my official launch off point, even though it took me a few days to get here.
I am hammock camping which means there is a stipulation of needing trees if I am to stay in your yard. No other distinctive traits. I'll smoke 'em if I got 'em but that's not all the time and have an open mind otherwise.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing because I know it is a good way to meet people and make friends. I've only done it a couple times so far and it was 100% a good time. I love seeing people in their natural habitats i.e. their own homes and very hardly does that happen outside of Couchsurfing.
Interests
I like podcasts a lot. My big ones are Dunan Trussell Family Hour, WTF, You Made it Weird, Joe Rogan Experience, Tim Ferriss and Bill Burr. Otherwise I am in general a big appreciator of all art forms from music to movies to illustration etc. I've dabbled in most of them and greatly admire the masters. I just like to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books
My interests are in constant elastic motion so this is always a different answer. For music I am currently listening to Lilacs and Champagne, Lil Dicky, and Megapuss. Went to a couple music festivals this year and got to see some of my favorites such as Courtney Barnett, Mac DeMarco, Rubblebucket, Chance the Rapper, Caribou, Run the Jewels, Twenty-One Pilots, Spoon, Alabama Shakes, Future Islands, Jamie xx, and I'm sure a bunch more. It's been a great musical summer let's just say.
Books. I've been reading a bunch on Buddhism and Mediation lately. One that's just a small textbook on Buddhism. I also just read 10% Happier by Dan Harris which I liked and also The Art of Happiness. Currently working on Joseph's Campbell's Hero's Journey, The Bhagavad Gita, and The Tibetan Book of the Dead. Would love to do a book swap once I get one done.
Movies I am not too picky with. Not that I'm uninterested, I just like most of them and can appreciate them. Lately I've been watching early 00's off color comedies like Pooty Tang and Death To Smoochie. I'm also a huge fan of some of the bigger blockbusters of the year such as Mad Max: Fury Road, Ex Machina, and Jurassic World. My favorite directors are Harmony Korine, Wes Anderson, and the Coen Brothers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked out in Grand Teton National Park for a summer. Happened to be one of the greatest summers of my life and I've had some good ones. I saw mountains, bears, moose, ate buffalo burgers and freshly caught fish as well as met people from all over the world from many different cultures.
