Overview
About Me
In short, I'm an outdoorsy and mellow musician from New England. I love to play, compose, listen to, and study music of all kinds, though for the most part, I play a lot of Jazz, Classical, Bluegrass, Folk, and Funk/World/Groove/Fusion music. I love going on adventures and exploring the outdoors, whether it's a new waterfall, mountain top, or deer run (not a hunter, though, just explorer and admirer). I'm a total extrovert, but not a big partier, and also very self-sufficient and independent. I absolutely love animals, and though I'm not a dog owner, I relish every moment I can get with a friend's furry companion.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel cross-country pretty often in a little Honda Civic filled with musical gear - a double bass, mostly. I love camping, but east of the Rockies, there aren't a whole lot of places to camp and explore until you hit the Appalachians. It's always nice to have a sofa or a bed in the meanwhile.
Interests
I'm a bassist, vocalist, and composer by trade, but most of my non-work-time is spent in the woods or in a book.

Teach, Learn, Share
Of course, with a passion for both music and teaching, I love to share whatever interests my friends and hosts. Conversely, anything I can pick up in exchange is also wonderful! I love to cook, and the same exchange is possible in this respect.
