About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to circle the world twice and talk to everyone once. Knowledge is power. I believe a lot of problems in this world stem from a lack of understanding of others cultures, languages, religions and overall backrounds.
ABOUT ME
Im easy going, laid back and go with the flow
PHILOSOPHY
I am a huge believer in knowledge is power and the kindness of strangers. I believe a lot of the world's problems are created or made worse but a lack of understanding of others cultures, languages, religions and ethnicity. The more we travel and communicate across cultural boundaries, the better we can understand those differences and the less misunderstandings we will have worldwide. My favorite job I have had was tending bar at a pool bar in the US Virgin Islands. Everyday I met a dozen different people from different backgrounds from every corner of the Earth. Every person had their own life's tale worthy of a Hollywood movie script. Everyday was a new adventure and I hope to continue meeting new people and experiencing everything this world has to offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just began using couch surfing so unfortunately my participation until now has been non-existent. However over the next few months I plan on using it extensively in my travels and then returning to the favor to fellow travelers by opening my home to them when I return.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have just begun to explore couch surfing so my experience with it is pretty limited, however I am extremely excited about the possibilities for travel presented here. My girlfriend has used it for years and we will be relying on the kindness of strangers extensively over the next 5 months as we travel throughout South America.
Interests
My interests are extremely wide reaching. Anything outdoors and exploring new things is always at the top of my list. I do enjoy reading and relaxing, as well as finding the best places to eat and discovering new foods. I feel I've only scratched the surface of the world with food and adventure and I'll never stop exploring those avenues.

Music, Movies, and Books
Without a doubt my favorite book and nonfiction story is Horse Soldiers by Doug Stanton. It is the story of the first special forces team on the ground in Afghanistan after September 11th. The reason I love this book is because it shows what an extremely small group of people from different backgrounds, different languages and religions can achieve when they work together. The Dark Tower series by Stephen King is my favorite fictional story ever told about the last gunslinger in a land that has "moved on". I love a wide array of movies and music. Music especially can't be rounded into a favorite genre. Every song ever made is like its own history book telling about the sights, smells, tastes and feel of a time and place in the history of man kind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've scuba dove with sharks and jumped out of planes over the Caribbean. I've paddled across vast lakes in Canada and seen a Bald Eagle rip a fish from the water not 10 feet from my cannoe. I've road tripped to New Orleans and partied on Bourbon Street. I have a long list of things I have done and experienced but the list of things that I am going to do is even longer and continuing to grow.
