COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been to a weekly meeting in Guangzhou and already met lots of great people, I'm really looking forward to taking the first step and actually surfing sometime soon.

I love learning about new things, new cultures, new languages and life! I think that life is too exciting and the world too diverse to spend it all in one place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I rarely have to patience to watch an entire film but when I do I like to watch things like the Royal Tennenbaums, Little miss sunshine and Rushmore. I read pretty much all the time, some books I've loved are: 1984, A long way down, About a boy, The Alchemist, Alice in Wonderland, Animal Farm, The Beach, The Blind Assassin, The Book Thief, Brave new world... those are just some of the A's and B's from my goodreads page.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oktoberfest in 2008 was an amazing and memorable experience

Getting dressing room/backstage passes to the Reading and Leeds music festival in 2010; standing side of stage as some amazing acts performed and hearing 20,000 voices singing directly at you in unison. Still puts the hairs up on the back of my neck when I think about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm currently an English teacher by trade but don't let that fool you, I've got no technical teaching qualifications but I am a native English speaker so could probably give you a hand if you needed it. I guess I could teach you some rudimentary French or German. I would like to practice or learn your language, I'm currently focusing on Mandarin Chinese. I can juggle too (so can you, just give me half an hour!).
