About Me

An English guy who loves road trips, and meeting new people. I've had the good fortune of driving across Europe, Australia, and USA with friends and sometimes strangers! Studied Maths at University but my real interests are in music and language.

Will probably play ukulele and/or juggle in front of you. Married to an amazing woman.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really hope to be in a position to host one day, however I'm on the road again now! Looking to travel USA and Mexico on a shoestring and meet some locals before heading to Canada to use our 1-year work visas.

I think a lot of my interest are pretty standard and self explanatory. I also collect bottle caps (a really nice small memento of travelling!)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music has a punk/pop/indie vibe running through it. I also like some hip-hop, rap and electro-swing. Favourite artists and bands probably Jimmy Eat World, Motion City Soundtrack, Brand New, Andrew McMahon, Blink-182, Mixtapes. Things like that.

Movies, Whiplash, Hell or High Water, Princess Bride, Lars and the Real Girl. Tarantino and Wes Anderson movie.

Books - I haven't been reading much lately. I swing between video games and books and when I like one I tend to ignore the other. I can feel that I might be swinging back into books soon. Favourites - Far From The Tree, Book Thief, His Dark Materials, Song of Ice and Fire, Until I Find You.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got drunk watching the sunset - later that night found ourselves eating Russian food in a light night cafe - later that night found ourselves walking around an abandoned prison with an ex-convict - later that night found myself standing on a tank in an open air museum and poking round old ships!

Cliff diving from King's Landing!

Ask my wife about the scar in her knee where we crashed a motorbike on the way to Pai, Thailand.

The ferry between Stockholm and Tallinn, which is just a crazy part boat, before that we skinny dipped with a Belgian girl we met in Copenhagen and drove to Norway.

Teach, Learn, Share

Juggling and ukulele!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My sunny disposition? We'd love to spend time with our hosts if they're willing! We'd love to see the places we're visiting with some natives, but we are also doing this for financial reasons, and are hoping by cutting down hostel/hotel costs, we can have more cash to do some fun things while we travel the US.
