About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling in Europe slowly visiting casinos along the way

ABOUT ME

Fully vaccinated since February 2021

Lived and studied in Asia for 7 years, Masters Program at Korea University

I'm kind of a quiet guy, don't like big groups. Its not that I don't like meeting people, but a large group is just too slow. I prefer doing things fast and efficiently. Not afraid to walk away and make my own path.

I'm a Chinese American, born and raised in New York City. So I speak Chinese (mandarin fluently).

PHILOSOPHY

Walk your own path

Keep life simple. Life is complicated because you keep on caring about what others think, not what you think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started surfing in the summer of 2012. Met lots of very nice and generous people, many whom I would call friends today. Don't have a place of my own, but when I do, I plan on hosting in the future.

If I surf at someone else's place, I will insist on treating my host for a nice meal. I'm happy to pay for a nice meal, if you let me stay in your nice home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing for me is not about saving money. It's a different way to travel and experience the world. I think some members for whom saving money is the main goal just "don't get it".

I believe that while traveling its not enough to just see the tourists sites, but one should take the time to understand the rhythm and flow of the neighborhood. So it's best to meet and stay with fellow Surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't choose between these:
Camped on Lei Kung beach in Hong Kong.
Hiked for half a day a came upon a secluded beach with clear blue skies, view of other islands, clear deep blue water, the sand had no shells, no one around, was just amazing.

Also spent one night in the Schwartzman Library to participate in the "Find the Future Game". Very cool experience spending the night in that library trying to win the game.

I can now add that I climbed Mount Fuji. It was really cold up there and one of the hardest things that I've ever done. But it was awesome.

When I climbed Huangshan, I woke up like at 3am to see the sunrise and as I was walking to the viewing area, I looked up and saw the most stars I have ever seen in my entire life. The Big dipper and constellations were all very clear to me on top of the mountain. Really amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you visit NYC, I always recommend morning dim sum in Chinatown, after exploring Chinatown walk over Brooklyn Bridge and under the bridge order a pizza to go from Grimaldi's (Juliana's is always too busy and you can call ahead to Grimaldi's on the bridge), buy some drinks from local deli and take everything to the park right under Brooklyn Bridge. You have a great view of Manhattan with the water and you have some of the best pizza the city has to offer.

Sportsbetting
1. Take full advantage of promos
2. Lines shop, open accounts with every sportsbook in your area so you can always get the best price
3. Unabated or Oddsjam, you need to be able to compare lines from different sportsbook quickly
4. You will get banned that's just expected once you start winning

Knowledge is not power, knowledge is potential power. It's all about how you use it.

In order to understand the present, you must understand the past. In order to prepare for the future you need to understand the present. So basically you need to understand history.

I can share with you my amazing ice cream oatmeal recipe.
Oatmeal
Ripe bananas
Raisins
Vanilla ice cream or vanilla yogurt

Cook oatmeal very dry, while cooking add banana and raisins.
Serve with scoop of ice cream

What I Can Share with Hosts

I try my best to provide a unique gift. Maybe something from my home in New York, or some things that I've picked up in my travels. Sometimes though if I'm traveling for a long period it may be difficult to procure a gift.

Make for you my special dish: Icecream oatmeal for breakfast.

Couchsurfing is not about saving money for me. I would be happy to take you out for lunch, dinner, drinks, etc. You take me to your favorite place and I'll take care of the bill.

I'm a very good public speaker, I can give you some lessons and tips on how to improve your public speaking.

I can help you play better poker and also teach you how to count cards in Blackjack and sportsbetting
