Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To appreciate and make the most of every day.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel and have been around the world. I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania. I never traveled until I went to University. My Freshman year of college I went to Tijuana, Mexico on a Campus Ministry Service Trip. College students from around the U.S. volunteered in an orphanage in Tijuana. This was the first time in my life at the age of 19 that I witnessed extreme poverty. It changed my life forever!!! Their homemade food was delicious and I really enjoyed learning about Mexican culture. Instantly I had an overwhelming passion, traveling, learning about different cultures and helping those less fortunate. The following year I studied abroad in Spain for a semester during my sophomore year in 2002 and then traveled around Western Europe for one month. In 2003 I participated in Semester at Sea traveling by ship for ten months and visiting over 15 countries, while earning credit for uni! That December I spent three weeks in Costa Rica visiting my close friend Ana who was teaching English there. During Spring Break 2004 I went to Jamaica!!! I found out before I left for Jamaica that I had received a Freeman-Asia scholarship to study in Thailand for three and a half months for summer 2004!!! When I wasn't in school in Thailand I spent my time traveling around Southeast Asia visiting, Laos, Malaysia and The Philippines. I have also gone on three family cruises to many different Caribbean Islands! In Summer 2006 I spent three weeks with my family in Bonaire an island near Venezuela which is part of the ABC islands. Here I got my scuba diving certificate, PADI. I spent two weeks in Turkey in May 07', one of my favorite countries of all time! The mosques were simply breathtaking and not too mention my favorite kinds of foodXOXOXO. Some of my favorite domestic trips I have taken include San Francisco, Kentucky, Salem, Boston, Chicago, Oregon, Philadelphia, NYC, Seattle, and Washington D.C. I am now studying in Prague, Czech Republic for one year with a Rotarian Ambassadorial Scholarship.
