About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To visit every single inhabitable and uninhabitable country around the world, and to make as many friends as possible along the way!
ABOUT ME
I'm deliberately naive, in the hope that I can somehow avoid everything negative about the world - and when I see anything negative, I'll want to help out and not just be numb to it from a lifetime of watching the news.
My ambition is to be an accomplished writer; however, in the current literary climate, it's trash that tends to get commissioned for ten-book deals, and real art tends to get left by the wayside. Failing that, I really don't mind as long as I get to see the world, and I'm considering teaching English as a foreign language.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not too optimistic on the ultimate fate of this planet, but I'd prefer to ride out the storm than huddle inside. I appear cynical at first, but I'm really a lovely guy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, I'm hoping to use this site to travel as much as I can on the limited budget I have, and make a few friends while I do it - as soon as it's physically possible, I aim to be equally hospitable to anyone who wants somewhere to kip for the night!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None, as of yet - I'll update this when I have.
Interests
Writing, reading, music - both listening to it and fiddling around with an acoustic guitar every now and then - large open spaces, walking until I get dizzy with exhaustion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've ever done is spend two weeks sleeping on a mattress, on the roof of a three-storey building in Morocco, watching the sunset and hearing the call to prayer being belted from the four dozen mosques in Marrakech. That was just surreal.
Teach, Learn, Share
Be fair - I'm young, I can't share a lifetime of experiences - but I'm pretty good at popular philosophy and I can recommend books to you that'll change your life.
