About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To grow in mind, body, and spirit.

ABOUT ME

I love learning, travel, good company, good conversation, good beer, and good music.
Growing up my mom was vegetarian so I learned to cook for myself. I love seafood, mexican, mediterrenean, indian, and thai. I am very active, love nature, especially the ocean and water in general. I am spiritual but not religious. I like martial arts and weight lifting. I value nutrition and healthy living. My family is numero uno. I have a big family with 5 sisters and they are very important to me.

I have many sides to me so expect the unexpected. I am random but organized and clean.
Looking and smiling at the good things in life. If it can be changed change it, if it can't smile with it.
I was living in Colombia, S.A. for the last 3 years and am now in Austin where I will be doing some couchsurfing for a lil bit.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make of it. You are responsible for taking each event and giving it your perspective. Positive energy will attract positive results. Be open minded, life is full of new experiences. Be a life student, try to learn something new whenever possible. Respect yourself and others. Don't dwell in the negative, learn from mistakes and appreciate yourself and the little things in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be enamored(I think that's a word) to tell anyone about my experiences living in colombia and studying abroad in costa rica and ecuador. I love talking about culture(especially south and latin america) and love coffee so ask if you wanna know more. I also love talking about fitness, nutrition, and holistic medicine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I road tripped with my friend Zackie in California and we cs in Baja California and Tuscan. It was a great experience and both hosts were very hospitable and great people.
I am very thankful for this site and have been doing some cs as of lately and am very thankful for all the great people who have hosted me and will in the future.
I did host some people where I was living and loved it! I look forward to hosting again and returning the many selfless favors and meeting fellow travelers from so many amazing parts of this world.

Interests

Nutrition-Eating healthy, balanced tasty food.
Exercise-I love lifting weights and hiking, running, swimming, and yoga.
Music-Depends on my sourroundings and where I am in life. Right now I miss my latin culture so I listen to a lot of salsa, reggeaton, vallenato, hip hop and electric indie pop folk variations of music.
Dance-Salsa once you get moderately good at it is very fun. Also merengue and other carribean beats.
Food-I love eating exotic food and hope to someday taste the world. jaja, but I do have a trip to Thailand in the future.
Movies-I love watching a good movie and some good acting. I like almost all kinds of genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping and playing toro goal in ecuador. I got trampled by the bull twice. A lot of rock climbing in costa rica without safety harness. Swimming in stormy waters and swimming next to a barracuda in Cartagena, Colombia. Traveling in the dangerous areas of Colombia where there had been firefights between the national army and the guerrillas. I remember passing a flaming truck. Traveling by myself to small towns around the country in Colombia. I love Colombia and look forward to going back!

Teach, Learn, Share

I arrived 2 years ago from Colombia where I had been living for 3 years. So I can share my knowledge of Colombian spanish, culture, music, and basic experiences.
I also studied abroad in Ecuador and Costa Rica. I am also studying to be a fitness trainer so any questions regarding diet or physical health please ask.
I am always interested of far away travels, cultures, foods, and languages. I also love learning about holistic medicine, healthy foods, and ways of thinking.
