About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making music and growing as a father, husband, musician, scholar and martial artist. Getting after it!

ABOUT ME

My first goals in life were to be an inventor (when I was 4) and a rockstar (when I was 5). Still working on it :). Still searching for a sound... What would it Sound like if Flying Lotus and The Smiths had made Music? If Radiohead hooked up with Dr. Dre? If Madlib made beats for the John Lennon?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My sister got some sleeping bags delivered to her one day before our departure to the desert of Namibia. She simply posted "Help! Need sleeping bags to go camping asap" and a friendly Namibian living in Cape Town totally went out of his way, increasing the length of his drive by 40minutes to bring her the sleeping bag. He didn't even think of asking for them back, but we later meet up in Windhoek and had a beer with him and his brother. Incredibly friendly people, which then motivated me in becoming part of the CouchSurfing community.

Books: I am currently reading "Walden" by Thoreau, I felt inspired by "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Yogananga Parmahansa, "Die Kunst des Liebens (The art of love)" by Erich Fromm, "John Lennon" by Philipp Sherman, but also enjoy novels, Tom Robbins is my favorite so far on that field. Also like short stories, a lil bit of gonzo and all kinds of different literature. Anyone capable of reading German should check out Horst Evers, a brilliant writer from Berlin, great humor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mid-wived my daughter. *gulp* For my son, our second child, the mid-wife made it on time *phew*. ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Music, anyone wanting to jam, hit me up, I have loads to learn and probably could also teach a little about music producing and playing.
