Overview
About Me
I'm currently finishing my undergrad degrees in math and environmental geography, teaching math at my university, and volunteering with a nonprofit in Lansing. I want to work on displacement of people and other interesting geographic issues. I'm 23 and like to travel a ton. Once I sailed around the Atlantic over four months, which was pretty mind opening.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've couch surfed a little bit, but lately I've mixed it up with Airbnb. I think they're both really good ways to travel and meet people, but I really like that Couchsurfing isn't for money. That's nice for travelling efficiently, but also because the hosts are in it to meet people.
Interests
Yoga, guitar and music, snowboarding, volunteering, kayaking, beer pong, and so on. I'm also really into learning languages; I know a little bit of several and I'm continuing Spanish and Arabic.

Music, Movies, and Books
Wind, Sand, and Stars is my all time favorite book. It's about early mail pilots. Chasing Ice is one of my favorite movies, it's a cinematically gorgeous documentary about glacial retreat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mount Fitz Roy, Patagonia, Argentina.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching. It's a serious passion, I teach at my university for intro math. For Couchsurfing, especially languages seem like a great thing to share.
