Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel. See the world. Meet people. Just like everyone else on here.
ABOUT ME
A bit quiet at first. I tend to open up pretty quickly though when I meet people with similar interests. Equally happy staying in and having a few beers over a board game or going out for night-time adventures. I'm all about meeting new people, going new places, and having new experiences.
Zoology major from Michigan State University. Previous research in animal behavior and developmental genetics.
Currently working for the US Forest Service.
PHILOSOPHY
Similar to many couchsurfers I'm disenchanted with the thought of settling into a small, limited life. I'm at the point in my life where I am young enough, healthy enough, and without the commitments that would prevent me from seeing places and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently my life has me on the road and unable to host. For now I'm hoping to make the best of my time away from home and see as many places and meet as many people as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far. Hoping to get some experience as a surfer this summer and going to register as a host this winter when I settle down in my new place.
Interests
Hiking, backpacking, climbing, etc. Outdoors sports. Music. Travel (mostly the places I still want to go.) Reading. New stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Sigur Ros, Pretty Lights, Explosions in the Sky, Bloc Party, The Killers, Bonobo, etc.
Books: Siddhartha, stuff by Haruki Murakami or Kurt Vonnegut.
Movies: The Fountain, The Fall, The Life Aquatic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My backpacking and camping trips. Utah, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, Michigan, Tennessee. Oh wait, that's not one... but I'd have to say that my trip to Yellowstone and Glacier was probably one of my favorites.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot of music. I don't play any but I listen to lots and I love to share the music I love with people. I love talking about the books and movies that people have experienced, the places they've been and where they want to go.
