CURRENT MISSION

Hello! I am 31 years old, living and studying in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. I am working on my PhD in Anthropology, and enjoy teaching part-time as well. I am lucky enough to have found a nice house to live in, and would like to share the extra room with travelers who come to Rio and want to experience Santa Teresa.

I'm a San Francisco native who grew up in the Mission district. I enjoy reading, writing, exploring and studying photography.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to host travelers when I'm not on the road, and share with them whatever I can.
I really love the experience of meeting a local. It changes how I travel, and certainly helps me learn more about what things are like below the surface.

When I’m not traveling, I love hosting people and taking them around the city (or if I’m busy with school, being able to hang out briefly when I get back from studying).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in Brazil for the World Cup in 2014 and I couchsurfed through Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. It was an incredible experience! I made a lot of friends!

兴趣

Reading, writing, playing my guitar, and studying. Yes, I enjoy studying :) I tutor math at a community college in Berkeley and I have to constantly review to keep up with my students. It gets to be fun after a while!

I also enjoy exploring the world, and eating lots of good food. I’m always happy to try new things!
