About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To quote George Feeny: "Explore. Dream. Try. Do good."

ABOUT ME

Attempting to not sound too cheesy. Friends would generally describe me as loyal, driven and entertaining. I am always trying to keep those close to me happy, whether I'm making jokes or trying to inspire them to do something big.

I recently completed a university degree where I accomplished more than I ever would have imagined when I began.

PHILOSOPHY

Plan for tomorrow - Live for today.

I always aim to enjoy each day as if they are my last (because they very well could be). Equally important is that I have a plan for what's next. I usually have a rough 5 year plan. It helps me keep goal oriented and focused.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now? Just as a surfer. I'll be buying my own place in the fall, depending on who I bring in as a room-mate, I hope to begin hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still very new to the CouchSurfing culture, so my experience thus far has been limited to conversations had through the website. so far, people seem pretty awesome.

Interests

I am a lifelong learner, so I'm always reading. Now that I'm done University I imagine more of my learning is going to take place from books. I am also a fan of a number of sports including: Football (American), Football, Ice Hockey, and Basketball.

Other passions include film, music, and video games. Essentially, I'm always up to something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I won my first University election two years ago. At the point that the election began, I knew maybe 50 people out of the 2700 students in my program. I won a decisive victory. In my second campaign, I doubled my vote count. I was shocked.

When the Calgary Flames won their first playoff series in 2004 after years of missing the playoffs, seeing my city come to life joined together with one common passion and purpose was inspiring. For years I had seen the same happening in European countries around football, and around north america for other sports, but never so close to home.
