About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On my way from female to male - maybe with a stopover somewhere in between. (It's kind of long way, so I can keep this "current mission" status here for a while...) Don't be terrified, it's actually one of the most interesting things I've ever done in my life :)

ABOUT ME

Organic/FairTrade Idealist. Writer. Art Lover. Agile manager, coach, consultant. Geek. Transcendental Meditator. Yogi. Traveller. Part-time hedonist. Queer. Trans* and pan-gender being. And more.

I personally have the whole bandwidth from yoga, meditation & green smoothies to blockbuster cinema, beer & take-away. I love meeting interesting people, discussing meaning of life and having fun.

I love books and good movies (don't have a TV, but a projector), café-hopping, traveling, bouldering, but also my sofa, and I enjoy the nature yet I like to live in a city.

I like vegan organic gluten-free food. So if you enjoy having some vegan food together, I might be thrilled!

Big fan of traveling in general and India in particular! So I decided to learn Hindi and gloriously failed. :(

PHILOSOPHY

I think life doesn't end when we die. We are much bigger and much more than we think. We are much more capable of than we usually believe. There are things which can't be explained by science today (even though science has done a good job on many things) - in the future, spirituality and science will no longer be a contradiction.
The internet is neither good or bad - but it is more than a tool. It radically changes or world and it's up to us whether it may take a turn for the better or for the worse. Anyway, it definitely is going to change our consciousness towards a more collective one, our social lives and our way to communicate.
I deeply believe that everything we experience makes sense in the end and it is for personal evolution, even though it sometimes doesn't feel comfortable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I deeply believe that whatever you give to someone, will get back to you some day. It doesn't matter to whom you give something and from whom you get - it is a big eternal circle of sharing.
That said, feel free to be my guest and make use of my kitchen and everything you'll find in there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a couple of people. I love the idea of sharing in general, so couchsurfing fits perfectly into this. And next time I travel, I'll definitely crash on someone's couch!

Music, Movies, and Books

LOVE books, music and good movies and documentaries, but there are too many to mention all.
Just to name a few:
Directors/movies: David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar, Lars von Trier (even though I dislike lots of his films, I admire his work as a director) - but also the regular block busters (e.g. I really like Marvel comic movies!);
Series: "True Blood" and "Sherlock"
Documentaries like "Rhythm is it", "Grizzly Man", "we feed the world", "Full Metal Village", "First Position", "Lagerfeld confidential", "Let's make Money", "Plastic planet" and many many more
Books: Many books on psychology, philosophy, food & nutrition, spirituality, queer culture, but also literature:
K. Tucholsky, T. Capote, W. Herrndorf, P. Auster, D. Adams, C.R. Zafon;
Also poetry and theater plays;
And of course, lots of literature on traveling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, India in 2013 - that was amazing!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumbh_Mela

And I'd like to share another moment with you: A couple of years ago, I was in Dubai in the desert. It was already dark and I left the camp with the music in order to take a walk. When I returned, I saw two camels lying outside the camp. They swang their heads and long necks to the rhythm of the music - they actually kind of *danced*. It was an amazing, beautiful moment!
Suddenly, the camels realized that I was watching them and they immediately stopped dancing and behaved in a way they thought I'd expect them to as ordinary camels. Epic!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you endless wisdom from everything I've done wrong myself - but then there wouldn't be any fun left for you to make the same mistakes yourself, right? ;)

No, seriously: I have a spiritual background and can share some of this, if you wish so. But I don't preach.
I can also share experiences and advice from a transgender perspective, if needed.

If you are a skater: Please teach me! (board available) :-)
If you are a boulder person: Let's go to a boulder hall and show me some grips!
